Year-Round Enclosure Maintenance: From Clean Panels to a Smooth-Running Motor

2 min read

Regular care keeps your pool enclosure looking flawless, its segments gliding smoothly and its lifespan at the maximum. Here is a clear maintenance guide that will keep your premium wellness oasis in perfect condition with minimal effort.

Cleaning the glazing panels and aluminium frame

We recommend cleaning your enclosure once or twice a year (ideally in spring and autumn), and also after a heavy storm or during periods of high pollen.

First step: Whether the panels are safety glass (as on the P4 and P8 models) or polycarbonate, start by rinsing them thoroughly with a stream of water. This washes away dust and prevents the surface from being scratched during the subsequent wash.

Suitable products: Use lukewarm water only. On polycarbonate panels, use nothing but a stream of water. On glass panels, you can use a soft sponge or microfibre cloth together with a mild, non-abrasive cleaning agent.

What to avoid: Never use abrasive creams, coarse brushes, solvents or aggressive chemicals.

Pressure washing: Use a pressure washer with great caution. Keep the jet at a sufficient distance and never aim it directly at the seals between segments, to avoid damaging them or forcing water into the structure.

Tracks and smart technology

Smooth movement of the segments depends on keeping the guide tracks perfectly clean.

Track care: Regularly sweep away leaves, sand, pine needles and small stones. A clogged track increases resistance and causes unnecessary wear on the rollers.

Motor drive (POPP control): If your enclosure is fitted with our concealed motor drive, a clean track is an absolute must. Obstacles in the track put needless strain on the motor. If the app reports unexpected resistance, always check the track for debris first.

Safety hardware: Locks, handles and the segment locking latches can be treated with a small amount of suitable silicone oil.

Year-round care calendar

SeasonKey maintenance tasks
SpringPost-winter clean. Check that the tracks, locks and seals are clean. Confirm that all segments run smoothly.
SummerOngoing removal of pollen and dust. On extremely hot days, we recommend ventilating the enclosure.
AutumnPay extra attention to the tracks (fallen leaves and mud). Prepare for winter by checking that all locking latches are secured.
WinterKeep the enclosure securely locked. Remove heavier snow regularly with a soft, long-handled broom. Do not scrape right down to the panel; leave a thin layer in place.

Essential safety rule: The enclosure is not designed to be walked on under any circumstances. Never step onto the structure: it can deform the profiles, crack the panels and cause serious injury.

If the segments start to stick, the locks can no longer be closed safely, or you notice any mechanical damage after strong winds, do not force the structure. In such cases, contact our professional service team directly.
